Plan your trip · when to book

When to book a stay in Dahlonega: the weekends that fill up

The short answer

Gold Rush Days is Oct. 16-17, 2027, Bear on the Square is April 17-18, 2027, and Christmas in Dahlonega runs from the day after Thanksgiving into early January, opening with the Lighting of the Square on Nov. 27, 2026. The Georgia Forestry Commission expects this fall's peak color from late October into early November. These are the dates to plan around.
